Does anyone else remember the first YouTube video they watched? For me, my introduction to the platform was Charlie the Unicorn. While YouTube has been around since 2005, I feel like I seriously started dabbling in videos and the online culture in the later 2010s. Fortunately, my knowledge was recently put to the test when Jeopardy! aired a special edition, Jeopardy! YouTube Edition earlier this week. With easy enough questions, this was the first time (in a long time) I felt smart watching Jeopardy!.

The episode featured three internet icons, Monét X Change, Rebecca Black and Brennan Lee Mulligan, duking it out on the Alex Trebek stage to win money for charity. Every question was related to YouTube and featured host, Ken Jennings.

The categories and questions were great! My only complaint? They only had two rounds, Jeopardy! and Final Jeopardy! The Double Jeopardy! round was removed and ultimately, decreased the length of the episode. With how great I was doing, I would’ve liked to see a full, true episode.

The Final Jeopardy! clue fell under the category, “Classical Music & YouTube” and was, “A part of the finale of Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9, not the theme from “Jaws”, begins this song whose 2016 video features kids singing underwater.” Hint: the video has over 16.8 billion views. Would you have gotten it?

If anyone from Sony Pictures if reading this, a whole hearted yes to more Jeopardy! YouTube. Please, and thank you!
